Johan is responsible for the overall management of the group with a particular focus on product design, innovation and strategic direction. His talent and ability in these areas of the AJS business ensure that the AJS software remains abreast of emerging technological trends. He loves to keep the competitors guessing!
Johan was born and bred in the Free State and, after high school, studied information technology in Bloemfontein. He subsequently studied computer programming at the Microsoft institute and still holds a very treasured qualification certificate signed by a certain Mr. Bill Gates!
His career started out with a technology company – Willem Smith and associates based in Bloemforntein where he was responsible for technical support and desktop document design.
In 1995 he started his own business – Nutech – which was the authorised AJS agent for the Free State area. The AJS user base in the area grew substantially during this time.
In 2001 he handed over the reins of Nutech to take up a position as CIO of VVM – a large Johannesburg based collections agency. It was here that he gained vital experience in the workings, strategies and system requirements of a large call centre environment. He was responsible for implementing and maintaining all of VVM’s technology requirements and developed a fully-fledged Call centre system, fully integrated to the AJS financial system – from scratch!
Needless to say his experience and knowledge in the call centre industry and the systems required to run them is unsurpassed.
In 2005 he, along with Digby Vickers, acquired the AJS software and founded the group of companies that you see today.
Johan is married and lives in Johannesburg with 11 dogs. He loves nature and the outdoors – especially camping and water sports. He is an avid reader of anything technical or scientific.

Barry is responsible for Software Development and based in the Cape Town office. Before joining AJS in 2011, Barry was the founder and managing director of AVID Software, which was incorporated into the AJS product offering.
He majored in Computer Science and Economics at the University of Stellenbosch and continued with a post-graduate degree in Computer Science and Investment Management. After a short period working as a software developer for a local company, he founded AVID in 2003 and was one of the first players in the mobile application space. With a passion for business process flow and agile software development methodologies, he is currently working with the rest of the development team to deliver the next generation of cutting edge AJS products.
Barry is married and lives in Stellenbosch. His interests includes fresh and saltwater fly-fishing, hiking, woodworking and gardening.

Louisa Stander joined AJS in 2013. She is responsible for the financial management of the Coleso Group of Companies, and is a newly appointed director. She is based in Cape Town.
Louisa attained a BCompt degree from the University of South Africa while completing her articles at Price Waterhouse Coopers. She also did a post graduate diploma in tax and obtained a diploma from the Team Impact University. Louisa joined McIntyre and van der Post Attorneys in Bloemfontein as financial manager, and spent 12 years with them. When her husband was transferred to Johannesburg, Louisa joined Moodie and Robertson Attorneys as Financial Manager in Johannesburg. She was headhunted and joined VVM as General Manager- Finance in Randburg. She spent the next six years with them.
During the 22 years as Financial Manager and later General Manager Finance, Louisa gained valuable knowledge, understanding and experience of the complexities of the legal profession as well as of AJS Legal and Accounting practice management system. She is a seasoned FM and financial discipline comes naturally to her.
Louisa is married to Kobus, and they have three children and four Dutch hounds. She has a passion for her family and enjoys travelling the world and, when time allows, enjoys reading a good book.

Richard Dunwoody A graduate from the University of Western Ontario Richard began his career with Financial Collection Agency (NCO).
In the 1990's Richard became Director of Account Management for AVCO Canada leading the centralization of collections and outsource vendor management.
Subsequently Richard joined DRN Commerce (FCT Default Solutions) where he was both VP of Sales and the subject matter expert for the design of the CollectLink™ agency management system.
In 2003 Richard then led the development and promotion of the first version of InsolvencyLink™.
Since 2008 Richard has remained an active entrepreneur and resource in the development of data analytic systems (Total Scoring Inc.), data content and management systems (Cleanlist ; Outside IQ) and software development for the receivable management industry in the areas of litigation management and insolvency management.
